Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.

Little Mountain Place (LMP) is a nursing home located in Vancouver. The existing AS-1, AS-2, AS-3, and AS-4 split systems, which consists of a 3-5 Ton Condensing Units and Indoor 4-Row DX Coils, serve the four wings at LMP. These systems are over 25 years old, use obsolete refrigerant, and have reached the end of their lifecycle. VCH is seeking to remove the existing system cooling AS-1, AS-2, AS-3, and AS-4 at LMP and replace each system with a heat pump. The scope of the project should be to upgrade the existing DX split system in AS-1, AS-2, AS-3, and AS-4 to heat pump split systems. This will provide reliable cooling to the air handlers, as well as provide heating to offset gas consumption from the boilers (more energy efficient way of producing heat). We'll want heat pumps with inverter driven compressors for better part load efficiency and load matching during shoulder seasons. The units selected here are significantly quieter than the existing units, and lower sound levels on the outdoor units will be prioritized to reduce potential noise impacts. Upgrade existing DX split system in AS-1, AS-2, AS-3, and AS-4 to heat pump split systems. Supply and installation. Decommission and remove existing DX split system.
