Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Englewood Board of Education Bergen County, New Jersey for the UV & Boiler Replacement at Janis E. Dismus MS In order to be eligible to submit a Bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following disciplines Further, in the event the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC in the below listed disciplines, the Bidder shall be required to contract with subcontractor(s) that are classified in the below discipline(s), and such subcontractor(s) shall be required to be named in the bid and supporting documentation provided as per the bid instructions and applicable law, Bids must be submitted on the provided forms and be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond drawn to the order of the "Englewood Board of Education" for not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A 18A- 24 This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and will be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of any Grant Agreement entered into between the Board and the SDA, which will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if awarded the contract for the Project, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a New Jersey Statutory Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law, if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A 10:5-31 et seq., and NJAC 17:27. Pursuant to N.JSA 34:11-56.50 et seq, Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current Certificate from said Department indicating compliance at the time of bidding Addendums will not be issued within seven (7) business days prior to the Bid Date. As of the time of this meeting, the last day an Addendum can be issued is April 15, 2024, at 4pm.
