The City of Lewiston, Department of Public Works is seeking bids for weed control services along city sidewalks, roadsides, landscape areas, and designated canals for the three (3) year period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The City of Lewiston reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to extend the contract for two (2) additional one (1) year periods (July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028, and July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029). Provide monthly herbicide treatment to control emergent weeds along designated sidewalks, roadsides, and landscape areas and all other incidental work (including traffic islands and tree wells) as necessary to satisfactorily provide the services as outlined or implied in the Specifications. Please refer to the attached list of areas. The quantities stated in the "Contract and Proposal" are estimates and it is the responsibility of the Contractor to visit the site and verify the quantities. All designated sidewalks, roadsides, and landscape areas will receive herbicide applications once per month during May, June, July, and August or four (4) times per any of the identified fiscal year periods. Owner Rights: The Finance Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals. The City of Lewiston reserves the right to reject any and all bids when deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive any minor discrepancy or technicality in the bid specifications.
