Completion Date: July 12, 2024 Bids will be received by the Office of the City Engineer of the City of Urbana, Ohio for the city's 2024 Sidewalk, Curb and Gutter Replacement Program This project consists of the replacement of deteriorated or missing sidewalks, drive approaches and curb sections on all of Lincoln Place and Lafayette Avenue and portions of Gwynne Street and South Main Street. Bidders shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary in the cost of their bid to complete the project in its entirety. Replace deteriorated or missing sidewalks, sidewalks through drive approaches or curb sections. Streets and/or addresses affected are along at least portions of Lincoln Place, Lafayette Avenue Gwynne Street and S. Main Street. Additionally, install ADA compliant curb ramps where needed. Bids shall be submitted electronically with either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid amount, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Furthermore, upon inspection and release of the performance bond, the awarded project contractor shall submit a maintenance bond in the amount of one half of the original performance bond amount. The maintenance bond shall remain in full force for 12 months until final inspection and acceptance of the work. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. The project's start date shall be no sooner than Monday, May 13, 2024 unless otherwise authorized by the City Engineer. The project's completion date shall be Friday, July 12, 2024. The contractor and all subcontractors shall pay employees on the project the prevailing wages established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Labor and Worker Safety, including all updates, and shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The current Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule is included in the bid documents.
