The project is located at six sites throughout the City and includes heavy cleaning, light cleaning, and CIPP lining of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 1,300 linear feet of 15-inch sanitary sewer, 400 linear feet of 24-inch storm sewer, and 1,300 linear feet of 36-inch sanitary sewer. Site Directions: Various (6) sites throughout Sioux City Question Deadline 04/16/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. Only answers issued by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, via the contact information provided on the plan holders list. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. This project has an early start date of May 20, 2024 and a late start date of July 6, 2024. Work shall be completed within 100 Working Days. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor.
