Prevention of Air and Noise Pollution: of the Standard Specifications is modified to add: In the event that the Governor declares an air pollution emergency, pursuant to ARS 49 which restricts work schedules for all employees of the state and its political subdivisions, the Engineer will direct the contractor suspend all work activities until further notice. The contractor shall discontinue all current work activities as soon as possible, but not later than four hours after notification by the Engineer. The contractor will be compensated for labor costs incurred through the end of the work shift in which the notification occurs. No payment adjustments will be made for equipment or overhead costs resulting from the suspension of work. An extension of the time allowable under the contract will be granted in accordance with Subsection 108.08 of these specifications.
