Building N Drainage Improvement The Technical College System of Georgia is accepting sealed bids on behalf of Athens Technical College for the improvement of the drainage system for Building N to include earthwork, exterior improvements, and utilities location if required at its main campus in strict conformity with the project plans, bidding documents and contract documents associated with this project. The Campus is located at 800 US Highway 29 North, Athens, GA 30601. This project has been posted as an electronic bid event within the Team Georgia Marketplace system. The project plans are attached to the bid event. Each bid must be accompanied with a BID BOND in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, payable to the Owner, Athens Technical College, in order to guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly in compliance with the Bidding Documents. Bid Bonds should be furnished on forms accepted as standard by the insurance industry. Withdrawal of Bids. Bids may be withdrawn by bidders prior to the time set for official opening. After bids have been opened, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time and date of opening except as provided in O.C.G.A. 13-10-22 (appreciable error in calculation of bid). Negligence or error on the part of any bidder in preparing its bid confers no right of withdrawal or modification of the bid after bid opening except as provided by Georgia law. Owner's Right to Reject Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities. The Owner further reserves the right, in its sole and complete discretion, to reject any bid that is over budget and to reject any bid from a bidder that is not responsible. From the date that this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is issued until a bidder is selected and the selection is announced, there shall be no communication for any reason, except during the Pre-bid conference, between a bidder and any state employee other than the contracting officer regarding this ITB. TCSG and the College reserves the right to reject any bid for violation of this provision.
