Renovation of a water / sewer project in Simi Valley, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project proposes to replace the WQCP's existing East and West Basins BNR air diffuser membranes. The expected useful life for the membranes is seven years and they have been in use for eight years. Replacement is recommended to regain energy efficiency, which decreases as the membranes age, and ensure system reliability. Construction is expected to be completed in phases over the next three fiscal years. This project has been included in the City of Simi Valley's FY 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, as of September 18, 2024, this project is to be done by in-house teams. A timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
