Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Concord, California. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; and for paving for a residential development.
The work to be done in general consists of mobilization; traffic control; water pollution control program; clearing, grubbing, trimming and root pruning; tree removal; constructing and removing and replacing concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, valley gutter and curb ramps; cold planning of asphalt roadway; placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) materials; lowering and adjusting utility covers to finish grade; removal of traffic striping and removal and replacement of curb paint; and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in these Special Provisions. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor.
