Centerville Road Watermain Replacement Project The City of Lancaster is seeking proposals from companies, with proven track-records, interested in replacing the existing steel pipe per the provided plans with Ductile Iron Water Main (provided by City), chlorinating and flushing the entire out of service portion of this main and returning the water main to service as quickly as possible. The work shall be completed as soon as possible following the Notice to Proceed, but in no circumstances completed and ready for final payment later than July 31, 2024 This Project and Contract are subject to certain special requirements. For example, as more specifically detailed in the Contract Documents, the successful bidder shall be required to assure protection against discrimination for employees, applicants for employment, and subcontractors on the grounds of actual or perceived race, color, sex, ancestry, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial status, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, use of guide or support animals and/or mechanical aids, and to make payment of certain minimum salaries or wages according to the PA Prevailing Wage Act and any and all applicable laws, including, but not limited to the Steel Products Procurement Act. The City of Lancaster, PA reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to accept the Proposal which is in the best interest of the City. The lowest responsible proposer need not be the proposer submitting the lowest dollar amount bid. The City may consider the quality of services supplied, responsiveness of the proposer, past performance of the proposer, compatibility of the proposer's processes with other City services, and the proposer's ability to handle the volume of work proposed.
