Gandy Blvd. beginning at the east end of the Gandy Bridge and ending at Westshore Blvd., 2.) 20th St. from Durham St. south to apex along MSE walls and other locations as determined by the Engineer. Landscape maintenance activities consist of the removal and disposal of weeds and undesirable vegetation from landscape beds in Hillsborough County. The contract will be awarded at the Department's Advertised Project Cost amount of $195,000.00; low bid will set the unit price. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Department's estimated quantities and the Contractor's bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Work Document. Work Documents will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work. Note the Substituted Commercial General Liability Insurance requirements contained in section(s) 7-13.2 and 7-13.4 of the project Specifications. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00. A 100% Payment and Performance Bond will be required for all projects. All work is to be done in accordance with the Plans, special Provisions of the State of Florida Department of Transportation.
