As of May 8,2024 the project has been awarded to Morais Concrete Service, Inc for 1,179,602.80 The work consists of construction and testing of approximately 2,250 feet of new 8-inch DICL water main, new water services, and fire hydrant connections; abandonment of the existing 4- inch water main; trench and driveway repair; and landscaping restoration. Bid Documents will be available starting April 10th, 2024. The Bid Security from the Contractor in the form of cash, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check, drawn upon a responsible bank in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be made payable to the City of Greenfield, Massachusetts and shall be enclosed with the bid. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials (Payment) Bond in the full amount of the contract, will be required of the successful bidder Attention is called to the following: A. Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. B. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L.
