Townsend Brook Dam is located on Pleasant Valley Road in the Town of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. The project consists of small tree removal, installation of stone riprap for channel restoration, resetting guardrail, tree clearing, and ancillary items of work. The Town will award the Contract to only one responsible Bidder, based on the lowest responsive sum of the bid prices. Contractors must have a current registration of good standing with the Office of The Secretary of State to do business in New Hampshire. Bid documents may be examined at the following locations: o The H.L. Turner Group Inc., 27 Locke Road, Concord, NH 03301 o Wolfeboro Town Offices, 84 S. Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. The H.L. Turner Group Inc. is the Engineer and Issuing Office for this Project. All communications shall be directed to this office. Bidders' inquiries to meaning or intent of the Bidding Document shall be submitted in writing at least five (5) days before bid date. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the estimated quantities in the Bid Schedule by examination of the site and a review of the drawings and specifications, including Addenda, if any. After Bids have been submitted, the Bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the quantities of Work or the nature of the Work to be done. All Bids must be made on the required Bid Form. All blank spaces for Bid prices must be filled in, in ink or typewritten, and the Bid Form must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Only one copy of the Bid Form is required. The Town of Wolfeboro reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, to waive all formalities or informalities and to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. Any Bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof to permit public funding of the project. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period; the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owner and the Bidder.
