The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is soliciting statewide monitoring services of generators and equipment at various locations throughout the state, subject to the provisions and specifications set forth in solicitation document which may be accessed via the link below. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 05/22/2024 10:00:00 MAXIMUM CONTRACT PERIOD - ESTIMATED Start date: 06/06/2024 End date: 06/05/2029. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. The initial term of the contract will be for one (1) year, with the possibility of four (4) one-year renewals, for a total potential contract period of five (5) years. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS General Requirements The purpose and intent of this solicitation is to add to an existing SCDOT wireless, web-based monitoring system currently monitoring standby generators, transfer switches and sewage lift stations. The system must meet the requirements of the specifications below and interface with the existing system. Pricing must include the cost for hardware and installation of future locations, repair or replacement of damaged hardware, and yearly subscription fees that cover the cost of cellular data plans and web portal access for 14 existing locations. All equipment and installation labor must be warranted for 2 years. The system shall be capable of monitoring and reporting status changes of various events and alarms, without the use of dedicated computers or software. The system must include a Customer Interface Web Portal for viewing the current location, status and history of all monitored equipment/sites, as well as remote control capability. The portal must also provide for setup and configuration of all events, alarms, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and other required information. The system must notify SCDOT personnel of any and all events/alarms by sending SMS messages to cell phones, pagers, PDA’s. It shall also notify by e-mail messages. E-mail notifications must include a direct link to the alarming site without having to sign into the web portal. The system must also be capable of sending un-responsive and off-line messages if communication is interrupted The State may cancel this solicitation in whole or in part.
