April 17, 2024 Vendor Questions due via E-Mail No Later than 12:00PM CST The County of McHenry seeks qualified contractors to replace a deteriorated concrete trench drain system at the McHenry County Government Center 2200 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock IL, subject to continuing need and availability of funds. DESCRIPTION: The trench drain is located at the Government Center loading/shipping dock on the NE corner of the facility. The loading/shipping dock drive accesses Ware Rd. SPECIFICATIONS: The trench drain is separated into two (2) sections draining to a center catch basin. The base bid is to replace the North section, add alternate 1 is the South section. If both sections are selected, it is required to be completed in two (2) phases poured with a minimum of 7 days prior to removing barricades, while assuring half of the loading/shipping dock is accessible during the project's duration. Existing trench drain grates and angles are to be preserved and re installed in the new concrete trench drain. Project work to include saw cutting space between existing drive concrete and trench drain, remove existing grates/angles - save for re-installation. Remove/replace trench drain concrete specs - 6.5 bag mix at 4000psi w/air and fiber mesh. Pour 6" trench bottom. Install 5 - 5/8" #5 epoxy coated rebar at equal increments at each sidewall with each rebar at a continuous horizontal length supported and secured to #5 epoxy coated rebar installed vertically approximately 4' apart. Install WATERSTOP-RX expanding joint along bottom of trench walls. Pour approximate 10" side walls with expansion joint installed along existing concrete drive. Apply one (1) coat V-Seal 102 winter guard concrete sealer to top and inside trench drain. Re-install drain grates. No site visit is offered; this is a public area.
