The Contractor shall furnish all labor, superintendence, machinery, equipment and all materials necessary to complete this project in accordance with the contract documents The City of Humble is requesting bids for the Main Street and Houston Avenue Intersection Improvements Project. This project involves the reconstruction of approximately 750 SY of proposed concrete pavement and curbs, including decorative brick pavers, sidewalks and ramps, installation of new traffic signal system and appurtenances, as well as all labor, equipment, material, and incidentals required for the project. Estimate: $620,000 BID SECURITY IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE GREATEST AMOUNT BID MUST ACCOMPANY EACH BID IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS BIDS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED UNDER A CONDITION OF IRREVOCABILITY FOR A PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS AFTER BID OPENING. Failure of the CONTRACTOR to complete the work within the contract time, including any extensions granted shall entitle the OWNER to deduct from the money due to the CONTRACTOR an amount equal to $500.00 for each calendar day of delay in completion of the work, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages and added expense for supervision.
