Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kenansville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

This project generally consists of grading, paving, drainage, and water/sewer line construction. Clearing and Grubbing and a small portion of the rough grading and drainage was completed in a prior phase and is shown in the construction plans. The project will also include installation of erosion control measures to comply with permit requirements, and installation of erosion control matting, seeding, and mulching. Bid Security equal to 5% of the total of the Base Bid and Bid Additives is required in the form of a cash deposit or a Bid Bond. Contract Security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No Bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of Bids for a period of one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days The purpose of this meeting will be to familiarize the prospective bidders with the proposed project. The meeting will cover the contract scope, bid items, schedule requirements, and any questions from those in attendance. A site visit will also be conducted after the meeting. Each Bidder must be properly licensed for all aspects of the work under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina (G.S. 87-15). Each Bidder shall certify, in its proposal, that neither it nor its principals is presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in this transaction by any Federal department or agency or the State of North Carolina. The MBE and WBE goals for this project are 5% MBE participation and 5% WBE participation or 10% combined MBE and WBE participation. Certain mandatory state and federal requirements apply to this solicitation, and will be made a part of any contract that is awarded, as specified in the Project Manual.
