This project includes: The construction of a new General Aviation FIS (Federal Inspection Services) Facility at Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). The GA FIS Facility will be constructed adjacent to the existing City Ramp area on the south side of the airports general aviation area along Barnstormer Road, which will provide aircraft access via Taxiway G. Elements of the project include an approximate 5,000 S.F. General Aviation FIS Facility with general aviation passenger waiting and processing areas; CBP offices and support areas; site grading and preparation; striping of existing ramp apron as required by CBP criteria; employee parking area; utilities; stormwater management (retention pond); and security fencing with a security vehicle gate and a pedestrian access gate. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. The Authority has determined that SEVENTEEN percent (17%) SBE participation goal will be prescribed for this project. As a good corporate citizen, JAA fully supports the usage of DBE/SBE on JAA projects. We encourage our business partners to maximize the utilization of DBE/SBEs at every opportunity.
