Prices and terms must remain in effect until a contract has been executed. Section 104 of the Standard Specifications is hereby revised for this project as follows: In subsection 104.04, paragraph 3, delete the second sentence and replace with the following: Snow removal will be the responsibility of the Contractor. In subsection 104.04(b) delete the third sentence and replace with the following: During the suspension period, the maintenance of the roadway will be the responsibility of the Contractor. A. PRICING 1. The Clarke County Joint Maintenance Department is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide maintenance of all cooling towers, boilers, and other air-conditioning and heating units within Clarke County Public Schools, Clarke County Government, and the Clarke County Sanitary Authority. 2. For budgetary reasons, the Proposal Response Form will be broken out into three sections: Government, Schools, and Sanitary Authority. Each section will also be broken out into individual buildings for budgetary reasons as well. 3. Proposals shall include a lump-sum price for two semi-annual preventive maintenance inspections. One inspection will be done in the fall and the other inspection will be done in the spring. Once a contract is signed, the firm will need to establish the specific inspection dates with the Director of Joint Maintenance prior to work being started. B. EQUIPMENT 1. A listing of all cooling towers, boilers, and other air-conditioning and heating units within Clarke County Public Schools, Clarke County Government, and Clarke County Sanitary Authority that shall be included in the maintenance proposal can be seen in Appendix A. Appendix A is our attempt to identify all of the equipment; however, please note that the County reserves the right to add or remove equipment and add/remove buildings with the selected vendor and the contract shall be adjusted as applicable. 2. Each vendor shall include changing of all filters four times a year in their proposal pricing. This includes the filters in the interior school classrooms as shown in Appendix A. Vendors shall include a once-a-year washing of all coils in all outside equipment (as seen in Appendix A) in their proposal pricing. If there is any deviation in any bid from that prescribed in the Scope of Services, the appropriate line in the Scope of Work/Services shall be ruled out and the substitution clearly indicated and submitted with the Bid Response Form. Clarke County reserves the right to determine the responsiveness of any deviation(s). This work consists of pulverizing the existing asphalt surfacing and underlying base material to the depth shown on the plans, moisture conditioning with water, if required, with the pulverized material, then spreading and compacting the mixed material. This special provision contains the Engineer's estimate for force account items included in the Contract. Such estimated amounts will be added to the total bid to determine the Project Commitment Amount and the amount of the performance and payment bonds. Force Account work shall be performed as directed by the Engineer. Only manufacturers listed on the CDOT Qualified Manufacturers List (QML) will be eligible to provide the referenced products to a Larimer County project. The QML is located within the CDOT Approved Products List (APL) web site, at https://www.codot.gov/business/apl/qualified-manufacturers-list.html.
