Description: The intent of these specifications is to describe the minimum requirements for the resurfacing/restoration services, for the Terrazzo flooring surface located in the rotunda of the Addison Village Hall, at 1 Friendship Plaza, Addison, IL. 60101. The Village of Addison is requesting sealed bids for providing all necessary labor, material and equipment to completely resurface / restore the village hall rotunda floor, adjacent areas, and stairwell. The contractor shall be responsible for accurately measuring the areas forthe required amount surface to be restored. Contractor shall: Measure all areas. Mobilize Construct barricade and protect necessary areas where work is to be completed Using a low pH cleaner/degreaser, strip existing polish, coating and/or residue from terrazzo floor Double scrub floor surfaces Rinse Neutralize Rinse and vacuum excess Mechanically and manually grind floor using diamond resin bonded disk system; using 60,120, 220,400, 600, 800, and 1800 grits shall be used, at a minimum. Mechanically and manually polish using a powder based product. Rinse Neutralize Allow floor to dry for one day Return and polish for final appearance General clean up Demobilize Mandatory Pre-bid Visit Required. All interested bidders are required to have these meetings in order to familiarize themselves with the systems and conditions that may affect the time or cost of performance. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided in a sealed envelope and include all signatures and information identified in the bid specifications. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure bids satisfy the requirements identified in the Bid Documents. The self- addressed label provided with the Bid Documents must be affixed to the outside of the sealed envelope. If there are any errors or inconsistencies found in the Bid Documents, bidders must notify the Village of Addison of those errors or inconsistencies before the due date listed above. The Village of Addison reserves the right to waive all technicalities, and to accept and or reject part(s) of any or all bids which it deems advantageous.
