The purpose of this Request for Bid is to solicit competitive bids from contractors for services described in the project manual and design documents for Canyons School District (CSD). This project will include an extensive upgrade of the auditorium, band, choir, and gym A/V systems. It is anticipated that this RFB may result in a contract awarded to a qualified contractor for services as defined further in the solicitation. This RFB is designed to provide interested contractors with sufficient basic information to submit bids meeting minimum requirements, but is not intended to limit a bid's content or exclude any relevant or essential data. All bid preparation costs and any associated activities related to this RFB are the sole responsibility of the Supplier. CSD will be evaluating this bid in two steps: (5 pages maximum) Qualification Standards -- This information is required to determine the ability to preform the entirety of this project. Score values are included. Demonstrated Relevant Project History -- Information regarding Construction Management / Area of Expertise, GC's Reputation & Commitment to High Quality Workmanship. Or indicate your ability to manage a project of this complexity -- 30 points Team assigned to the project. -- 15 points Show ability to meet the proposed schedule. -- 5 points Suppliers must meet a 38 point minimum to be considered for price review. Pricing -- CSD will then refer to the lowest presented bid total. Eligibility Requirements: The proposing Supplier must be properly licensed to do business in the State of Utah. 5 years of General Construction experience. Must be able bond this project accordingly. General Information A. Inquiries All inquiries relative to this RFB must be submitted through Ion Wave and will be answered through and Ion Wave up to the Q & A deadline. B. RFB Award When the award is made, it will be posted in Ion Wave. In the event that the RFB is canceled after the closing date, that information will be posted on Ion Wave as well. C. Right of Rejection CSD reserves the right to reject the low bid if the GC's demonstrated relevant project history and references are not acceptable in performance. D. Contract Pricing The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. Consideration for bid price increases or decreases will be made only for extreme changes in market conditions, as determined and agreed upon by the Architect, Owner and the Supplier. All solicitation responses must be submitted electronically through Ion Wave. Evaluation of Bids Evaluation Criteria CSD will evaluate each bid submitted based on responsiveness to CSD's overall needs. The award of contract, if made, will be to the supplier(s) who are responsive and responsible to all administrative and technical requirements of the RFB; who has demonstrated competence and qualifications in regards to providing the services required; the pricing for the services offered based upon all of the criteria set forth in the RFB . Evaluation Method The schedules will be scored by an evaluation committee. Evaluators will score each section 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being high). Scores will then be multiplied by a specified number NOTE: If price proposals are unclear and clarification is needed, the Purchasing Agent reserves the right to request a best and final offer from all submitting Suppliers. Failure to attend shall result in the disqualification of any vendor that does not have an authorized representative present for the entire duration of the pre-solicitation conference or site visit. Please arrive early or on time to the pre-bid meeting. The meeting will start promptly at the indicated time. Those that arrive late will not be permitted to sign the attendance sheet and participate with the contract opportunity. Special Notes: Please meet in the main office lobby area.
