Demolition of existing hospital building and other structures. Budget: $500,000.00 RFI/Subst. Request Deadline: 05/03/2024 12:30 AM All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2163. The Bidder shall certify that he is licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150, et seq. by including the name of the project and the name, address and license number of the Bidder on the bid envelope. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38:2212 (B)(5). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty (45) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of that Section, and those stated in the bidding documents, shall not be waived by the Owner. The Owner shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed. The electronic bid must be accompanied by a scanned copy of the bid security being furnished (either Bid Bond, cashier's check or certified check). If furnishing either a cashier's check or a certified check as the bid security, Bidder shall also include the original check in a sealed envelope to be delivered and received by the Owner at the date, time and place for submitting non-electronic bids. The Bidder shall include the name of the Bidder, the Project name and the words "Bid Security for Electronic Bid" on the outside of the sealed envelope.
