Site work and paving for a road / highway in Karnes City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Estimate: $1,000,000 In-place recycling and 1-1/2" HMAC surface on two streets and two-course surface treatment on portions of approximately thirty-three city streets in Karnes City. Any Proposal received after closing time will be returned unopened. No Proposal may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the date on which Proposals were opened. Proposals shall be plainly marked with the name and address of the bidder and the following words: City of Karnes City, Texas 2024 Street Improvements Project Contact David M. Young, Jr., P.E., Project Manager, at david.young@wtcinc.com, or (512) 328-6736 with any questions. A cashier's check, certified check or acceptable bidder's bond, payable to the City of Karnes City in the amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid submitted, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the bidder will enter into a Contract and execute bonds within fifteen (15) days of award of Contract as required by the Contract Documents . The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informalities and irregularities in bids received. This project is being evaluated utilizing a "Best Value" method. Bid will be awarded using the Selection Criteria detailed in the "Instructions to Bidders," Section 00100 of the Project Manual.
