This project shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all of the tools, labor, equipment,and materials necessary to excavate 5560 CY of material, install 2880 CY of ncrushed aggregate base, 1540 CY of crushed aggregate, 1730 tons of asphalt, adjusting 5 manholes and 11 Valves and any additional items specifically defined in the Bid Documents. Question Deadline 04/19/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Complete set of project bidding documents may be examined and purchased via website (cost: $22.00).Obtaining the documents from either of these two locations will place the bidder on the official Plan Holders List. Bids received from bidders not on the Plan Holders List will be deemed non-responsive. In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bid son a basis consistent with the bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder. Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the Owner to evaluate the Bidder's qualifications. All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority tosign. Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or cash in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the City of Idaho Falls as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Idaho Falls reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the City of Idaho Falls.
