Unit Price 1 (RS)_- Roof System Removal and Replacement Unit Price 1 entails removing the existing roofing system, including the metallic roof deck, and installing a new roof deck and roofing system as shown in Detail 2/A1.0. One unit of Unit Price 1 is defined as one square foot of roof system and roof deck replacement. This Unit Price includes the coating and striping in of the coating over the seams between the new and existing roof membranes as shown in the detail. Specific repair locations will be determined by the contractor, Owner or Designer and verified by the Owner or Designer in the field. The Contractor shall state the unit price for one unit on the bid form. The Contractor shall be paid for the quantity of this repair in excess of that required in the bids according to the unit price quoted in the bid form. If the quantity of this repair is less than that required in the bids, the Contractor shall credit the Owner at the unit cost quoted in the bid form. See the Allowances Section (01 21 00) for the unit price allowance quantity to include in the base and alternate (if present) bid(s). Payment will be made based on a minimum of ten (10) contiguous units of this unit price being installed in any one single repair area. Final contract adjustments will be rounded to the nearest 0.5 square feet of this unit. Areas of 6'x25', 14'x40' and 15'x20' have presently been identified for roof system replacement. Additional areas are anticipated. b. Unit Price 2 (RC) - Roof Coating Unit Price 2 (RC) entails surface preparation and installing one square foot of roof coating on top of the existing roof coating. Specific repair locations will be determined by the Owner, Contractor or Designer and verified by the Owner or Designer in the field. The Contractor shall state the unit price on the bid form. The Contractor shall be paid for the quantity of this repair in excess of that required in the bids according to the unit price quoted in the bid form. If the quantity of this repair is less than that required in the bids, the Contractor shall credit the Owner at the unit cost quoted in the bid form. See the Allowances Section (01 21 00) for the unit price allowance quantity to include in the base and alternate (if present) bid(s). Payment will be made based on a minimum of forty (40) contiguous units of this unit price being installed in any one single repair area. Final contract adjustments will be rounded to the nearest 0.5 square feet of this unit. The existing roof coating is Sherwin Williams Uniflex 44-300 white silicone. The new roof coating shall be 31 mils DFT of new Uniflex 44-300 white silicone roof coating (or approved equal). Detail flashing
