Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hudsonville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the construction of a 336-square-foot playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project includes the construction of a new restroom building and associated parking lot. This new 336 S.F. family restroom building will have two family restrooms and a custodial / mechanical room. Additional features of the building will be a canopy in front of the restroom doors and a dual height drinking fountain with bottle filler. The project will also include water and sewer laterals to the building, new parking lot and a rain garden. ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE: $290,000 The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will not be held. The project is being funded in part by the Michigan DNR Trust Fund grant. The contractor and all subcontractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 201909, as amended. In accordance with these laws, all contracts the grantee enters into must contain a covenant by the contractor and any subcontractors not to discriminate against an employee or applicant for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, or a matter directly or indirectly related to employment, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, partisan considerations, or a disability or genetic information that is unrelated to the individual's ability to perform the duties of a particular job or position. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The City of Hudsonville reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. Such Bid bond will be issued in the form included in the Bidding Documents. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. These bonds must remain in effect until one year after the date when final payment becomes due or until completion of the correction period, whichever is later, except as provided otherwise by Laws or Regulations, the terms of a prescribed bond form, the Supplementary Conditions, or other provisions of the Contract. The Work will be substantially complete within 150 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with General Conditions within 160 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Question Deadline 05/02/2024. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered Plan Holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Responses to questions are not part of the Contract Documents unless set forth in an Addendum that expressly modifies or supplements the Contract Documents.
