Site work for a water / sewer project in Centralia, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be performed under these Contract Documents consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment, and appurtenances necessary for construction of the WWTP Screw Press Dewatering Project. Work will include removal of the existing belt press system, installation of the owner-provided screw press system, mechanical process equipment and piping systems, electrical and instrumentation, and other work in accordance with the contract provisions, contract drawings and applicable codes and regulations. The project is located at the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1101 Goodrich Road in Centralia, Washington. The City of Centralia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Centralia encourages contracting procedures that provide M/WBEs equal opportunity to participate as subcontractor on City contracts. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by cash, bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Centralia, in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total bid. The bid shall be labeled WWTP Dewatering System Improvements Project Bid on the envelope. The City of Centralia reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive irregularities in the bid or bidding. Questions regarding the bid documents should be submitted through the question portion of the website and all responses to the questions will be on the website. The City provides reasonable accommodations to persons with disabilities. We invite any person with special needs to contact the City Clerk at 360-330-7670 at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the Bid opening to discuss any special accommodations that may be necessary. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Receiving, storage, installation and startup of Owner-furnished equipment. Startup of Owner -furnished equipment will be led by the Owner-Furnished Equipment Supplier with support from the Contractor. 2. Demolition of existing structures and equipment; including existing, belt-press installation provisions, pre-engineered steel building partial wall removal, and submersible sludge pumps in the WAS holding tank north of the solids handling facility. 3. Civil sitework, including, excavations, installation of underground utilities, concrete slab, and site restoration. 4. Installing new biosolids dewatering equipment (Owner-Furnished Equipment). 5. Providing mechanical process equipment and piping systems. 6. Electrical and instrumentation work as required to provide an operational system, including reprogramming of existing VFDs. 7. Control system integration support and coordination with the OwnerFurnished Equipment Supplier. 8. Testing and Commissioning support and coordination with the OwnerFurnished Equipment Supplier
