Scope of work for the TAB (Testing Adjusting and Balancing) Agency consists of furnishing all required materials, tools, instruments, coordination, participation and labor to perform and complete the TAB services per the Project plans and specifications for the above referenced Building Project. See special conditions for Project Information/Scope. KCTCS - Replace HVAC System Phase I, Owensboro CTC, Owensboro, Kentucky, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings prepared by Marcum Engineering, and approved by the Department for Facilities and Support Services of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and under the terms and conditions to this Request for Bid. Bids will be received from Prime Contractors on a Lump Sum Bid Basis for the total project. All phases of work shall be bid to and through the Prime Contracting Firms. Bids shall be submitted in the manner herein described and on the official bid document form included with the conditions and specifications and shall be subject to all the conditions as set forth and described in the Bid Documents. Award shall be issued to the lowest-cost responsive bid properly submitted by a responsible bidder. The Bid Document shall contain all qualifying requirements and forms. It is the intent of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to use all available funds. Kentucky Workers' Compensation: Pursuant to KRS 45A.480, the Commonwealth of Kentucky may not contract with any person not in compliance with Kentucky's KRS Chapter 342 workers' compensation insurance requirements. Bid is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder or the Department of Corrections, Division of Prison Industries (KAR 200 5:410) The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served. PROJECT INFORMATION / SCOPE: A. This project consists of replacement and/or upgrades to HVAC systems at Campus Center and Academic Building at the Owensboro Community & Technical College (OCTC) Main Campus. The work generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following: replacement of boilers and self-contained airconditioning units with geothermal heat recover chillers and chilled water air-handling units, replacement of VAV boxes, and improvements to airflow and cooling capacity to select zones. The trades involved include, but are not limited to, the following: demolition, sheet metal, HVAC piping, HVAC insulation, geothermal, electrical, temperature controls, and building automation system integration. B. These Special Conditions apply to all Divisions of the Specifications for the above project. Refer to the specifications for specific information. Academic Building Phase: 1. Construction Start: May 13, 2024. 2. Substantial Completion: August 22, 2024. 3. Final Completion: September 22, 2024. Campus Center Phase: 1. Construction Start: December 16, 2024. 2. Substantial Completion: April 15, 2025. 3. Final Completion: May 15, 2025.
