As of 9/3/2024 The Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Transportation Operations Center for the Department of Public Works has been CANCELLED due to lack of responsive bidders. Provide all plant, labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, incidentals, and other ancillary items necessary, as identified in these Contract Documents, in order to complete the Transportation Operations Center, to the limits shown on the drawings and in accordance with all specification, terms, conditions, and drawings herein. Only VDOT prequalified contractors may bid on this project. Qualifications: VDOT pre-approved contractor Description: Clean-agent fire-extinguishing system shall be an engineered system for total flooding of the hazard area including the room cavity above the ceiling, below the ceiling, and below the raised floor. System includes separate zones above and below the ceiling and beneath the raised floor. If smoke is detected below the raised floor, extinguishing agent shall be discharged in the underfloor zone only. If smoke is detected below the ceiling, extinguishing agent shall be discharged in zones above and below the ceiling and below the floor.
