Construction of four(4) concrete box culverts, roadway grading and other related incidental work. The project sites are located as follows: C-59(930) on 538th Avenue between 831st Road and 832nd Road; C-59(934) on 543rdAvenue between 824th Road and825th Road; C-59(935) on 831st Road between 538th Avenue and 539thAvenue; C-59(987) on 538th Avenue, between 822nd Road and 823rd Road, all in Madison County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as" Madison County 2024 CBC's:C-59(930), C-59(934), C-59(935), &C-59(987)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required for the construction of: C-59(930) triple 10' x8' x 40' Concrete Box Culvert on a 0degree skew; C-59(934) twin 12' x 12'x 53' Concrete Box Culvert on a 40degree skew (LHB); C-59(935) triple 12'x 8' x 48' Concrete Box Culvert on a 15degree skew (RHB) and C-59(987) triple12' x 10' x 41' Concrete Box Culvert on a 10 degree skew (RHB), and other related incidental work. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Madison County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated time of completion for each project with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all sites is May 1, 2025. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed sixty-five (65) calendar days for completion of each site after beginning work at that site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion dates for each site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer. No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to acceptance by the Madison County Board of Commissioners. The Madison County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations asset forth in Neb. Rev. Stat. 23-3110to 23-3114.
