The Town of Garner (Town) is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the procurement and installation of two solar-powered trash compacting stations with senor alerts to detect fullness and machine status for use in Lake Benson Park. This RFP states the instructions for submitting proposals, the specifications for the work, and the procedure and criteria by which a Contractor may be selected. The Town of Garner (Town) is soliciting bids to procure solar trash compacting stations with sensor alerts to detect fullness and machine status for use at Lake Benson Park (921 Buffaloe Road, Garner, NC 27529). The stations will be serviced and maintained by the Town of Garner Public Works Department. The stations must meet or exceed the specifications listed in this section. The Town expects to order two of the solar-powered trash compacting stations immediately. However, the Town may order additional units over the next five years. The Town may order more or less solar compacting stations, at the Town's sole option, and contingent upon funding availability. A variety of standard solar trash compacting station sizes may be ordered at the Town's sole discretion. The selected Contractor will be responsible for installing the solar-powered compacting trash stations. The Contractor will provide all parts required for installation and the software and hardware required for operating and monitoring all stations. Unless otherwise specified, any manufacturers' names or brand names listed below are descriptive, not restrictive. The bidder may offer any product that meets or exceeds the applicable specifications. The bidder must demonstrate comparability, including appropriate specifications that provide detailed information on manufacturer, warranty, materials, test data, etc. This will be a turn-key project with the contractor supplying all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the project according to specifications.
