Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Evergreen, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
This project provides a replacement of an undersized culvert crossing at JC -73 at Camel Heights Road with a structure sized to accommodate the 10-year storm flows. The existing culvert is undersized, which results in overtopping of the roadway. The structure is also functionally obsolete due to the narrow roadway and no guardrail attached to the headwalls of the structure. The existing structure also is being scoured out by the stream flow and exposing the footings and causing minor failure to the wingwalls. The project is included in the County's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 27, 2026, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
