Refinishing Exterior Stairwells at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. Information about the mandatory prebid meeting is available in the RFP. Question Deadline 04/24/2024 at 1:00 PM CT The successful Bidder is responsible to complete the work as follows: Painted Galvanized Stairwell (1 st Base Side) Areas: Only the landings on the 1 st base side will be re-painted. The stairs and handrails will not be re-painted. Mask, cover and protect all surfaces that are to remain unpainted. Surface Prep: Sweep blasting to remove all surface contamination including all existing surface rust, debris, and paint. Apply PPG’s Prep 88 to all surfaces that are scheduled to be painted, and rinse with clean water. Primer: (1) heavy coat of PPG’s Multi-Prime or equivalent Finish: (2) full coats of PPG’s two-component epoxy paint or equivalent Unpainted Galvanized Stairwell (3rd Base Side) Areas: Paint the stairs, landings, and support beams. Mask, cover and protect all surfaces that are to remain unpainted. Surface Prep: Sweep blasting to remove all surface contamination including existing surface rust and debris. Apply PPG’s Prep 88 to all surfaces that are scheduled to be painted, and rinse with clean water. Primer: (1) heavy coat of PPG’s Multi-Prime or equivalent Finish: (2) full coats of PPG’s two-component epoxy paint or equivalent Apply a 2” black epoxy stripe on the front edge of each stair tread, to match the 1 st base side.
