Renovation of a mixed-use development in Wahiawa, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

I. Shade Structure a. The new shade structure shall be as specified on the attached shade structure document or a preapproved equal. b. All substitution requests must be submitted prior to the question end date for preapproval. Contractor must show that their substitution is equal to or better than the requested product. II. Installation a. The contractor is responsible for toning the area prior to the start of construction to locate and avoid any underground utilities. b. The existing concrete slab shall be cut for the installation of 12 new concrete post footings. The concrete footing size is 32" W x 63" L x 26" D. c. The concrete for the footings shall be a minimum 3000psi mix. d. Reinforcing for the footings shall be 1/2 " reinforcing bars at a minimum of 16" on center in both directions. Reinforcing bars shall be drilled and epoxied into the existing concrete slab at a minimum of 6" deep. e. The contactor shall erect the shade structure according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. The structure shall be installed plumb and square.
