This project is a multiphase major upgrade effort to the building's fire/life safety protection systems. A fire alarm project was completed in April 2024 and included full building fire alarm coverage and installation of fire smoke dampers and fire control panels. The proposed project includes replacement and upgrade of the existing fire sprinkler system, full building wet pipe sprinkler system, high-capacity water storage tank, two new electrically driven fire pumps and associated emergency generator, replacement of the existing electrical switchboard, and installation of a new fire command center on the 1 st floor which includes relocation of the main fire alarm control panel from the basement.
