The MRNF must restore its inactive sand pits, in violation or at the end of their life as provided for in the regulations on quarries and sand pits. The MRNF has prepared this call for tenders in order to restore a sand pit in the MRC of Manicouagan. The work will be carried out under article 42 of the Regulation respecting quarries and sand pits, it will include leveling the land, deforestation, decompaction of the soil and revegetation. The bid must be submitted by an entrepreneur having an establishment in Quebec where he carries out his activities on a permanent basis, clearly identified in his name and accessible during normal business hours. The contractor must also have the required licenses from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec. This contract begins upon signature of the contract and ends on August 31, 2025. The work begins on the date set by the representative of the Minister who notifies the Contractor in writing and must be completed no later than August 31, 2024. The Minister does not undertake to accept any of the bids received, particularly when it judges that the prices are too high or disproportionate or do not reflect a fair price.
