The references should demonstrate the Bidder ability with projects similar in scope, size and nature of this RFP The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University is soliciting proposals for the replacement of two Cleaver Brooks boilers located on the fifth floor of the McGee Pavilion. The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University has been a unique public/private partnership in higher education for more than 100 years. Since its inception in 1900, the College of Ceramics has attracted renowned artists and scientists as faculty in ceramics, glass and other materials, while producing world-class alumni in engineering and ground breaking artists across all media. Question Deadline 04/23/2024 at 2:00 PM ET SUNY reserves the right to contact client references to validate experience and the scope and quality of work. The Bidder is solely responsible for providing contact information for clients that are readily available to be contacted and will respond to questions. If SUNY is unable to contact a client, the Bidder will be provided one opportunity, with a deadline, to assist in obtaining cooperation from those clients that have not responded. Provide the labor and equipment to isolate by lock-out/tag-out and blind flange all mechanical and electrical systems. Remove two Cleaver-Brooks Boilers and dispose of off-site. Include any removal of additional equipment as needed to complete the scope. The contractor will be responsible to properly drain and refill the system with Propylene Glycol/deionized water mixture to meet current levels. In accordance with Section 163 (9) f of the NYS Finance Law, prior to making a contract award each contracting agency shall make a determination of responsibility of the proposed Contractor as discussed in Section 8.1,Vendor Responsibility. SUNY will conduct a review of vendor responsibility for the Bidder earning the highest final composite score, and any proposed subcontractors. SUNY will consider any information that raises issues concerning the vendor responsibility, with consideration given to its relevance to the scope of work. The review will include factors such as financial and organizational capacity, legal authority, integrity and previous contract performance.
