Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Reference Number 0000348939 The work of this 917 calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to construct proposed seismic improvements to the Airport Perimeter Dike, including, but not limited to: upgrading access through Gates C2A and M45 (if used), installing temporary barricades, clearing and grubbing, identifying and importing clean fill for constructing temporary working pads, installing wetland protections, removing rip rap and aggregate base for reuse, constructing cement deep soil mixing improvements, protecting in place existing fuel lines, placing excess soil cement and temporary fills into designated receiving area, removing excess dike fills and return work areas to required grades, replacing rip rap revetment and replacing aggregate road surface and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. A California Class A contractor's license is required prior to award of this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. The Engineer's estimate for this project is $51,000,000. The Port of Oakland is currently administering a race neutral DBE program and has a small business contract-specific goal for this project of 3%. The Port has set an overall aspirational DBE goal of 12.42% for federal fiscal years 2023-2025. DBE participation on this project will contribute to this overall goal. The Port encourages all Bidders to take active race/gender neutral steps to include DBEs in this contract, including and not limited to: unbundling contract work, identifying subcontract work the prime contractor may self-perform, providing capital and bonding assistance, business development programs and providing other technical assistance as needed. *The Port specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the Work.
