This project provides for improvements to Fones Road from Pacific Avenue South to 18th Avenue Southeast. Project elements include: Roadway reconfiguration, raised cement concrete crosswalk, and compact roundabout Porous Hot Mix Asphalt grade separated bike lanes and sidewalk Modification of the stormwater systems Replacement of the existing water main Roadway and Pedestrian Illumination Landscape Planters and Irrigation Undergrounding overhead electrical and communication utilities and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. This project has Federal Aid funding. The recipient, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The Mandatory DBE Goal for this project is 15%. A 1,200-hour Training Goal has been established for this project. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid proposal bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Olympia, in an amount of not less than (5) percent of the total bid amount.
