All processed gravel and crushed stone shall be delivered to the PWSB at 239 Grotto Avenue, Pawtucket, RI. The minimum material quantity requested by the PWSB for each ordered delivery shall be approximately 23 ton for processed gravel and crushed stone. PWSB shall pick up screened loam, high performance cold patch, hot patch asphalt mix and "winter mix" - hot patch asphalt mix directly from the vendor. All hot patch asphalt mix shall be picked up by PWSB crews at the supplier's asphalt plant which must be located within a 10 mile roadway "Pick-Up Route" from 239 Grotto Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Bidder is required to provide a bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Pawtucket in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The City of Pawtucket desires to seek sealed bids for the furnishing of construction materials for the Pawtucket Water Supply Board (PWSB). This is a two year annual material contract that commences on July 1, 2024. The term of this contract shall commence on July 1, 2024 and shall extend until June 30, 2026. The City of Pawtucket reserves the right to award on the basis of cost alone, accept or reject any or all bids, and to act in its best interest including, but not limited to, directly negotiating with any vendor who submits a proposal in response to this Sealed Bid and to award a contract based upon the results of those negotiations alone. Proposals found to be technically or substantially non-responsive at any point in the evaluation process will be rejected and not considered further. The City of Pawtucket may, at its sole option, elect to require presentations(s) by bidders clearly in consideration for award.
