These priorities include: Foster a meaningful sense of on-campus belonging. Contribute to addressing an acute need for Rehearsal, Creation, and Presentation spaces for the wider dance sector in Toronto. Expand/enhance participation in all NBA programming streams. Achieve greater financial independence and increase sustained revenue. Attain industry-leading accessibility and sustainability standards. Priority outcomes for the campus redevelopment Include: Increase the availability of purpose-built versatile, high quality, accessible physical space for dance. Support Governance/ownership models with a diverse consortium of partners that represent or serve equity-deserving communities. Make dance training, creation, presentation, and participation more accessible to all Canadians. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Architects for the completion of a feasibility study and preliminary design has been issued by the owner. Submissions are being reviewed with an award anticipated mid-June 2024. The awarded proponent will provide Feasibility study services for the second phase of the Feasibility study, Which Will includes a fully defined Functional program, Land value capture and Real Estate Strategy, Campus Design Options and Architectural Renderings, With Consideration to Green/sustainable principles, plans/strategies (Developed by NBS, with guidance From the contributing parties/consultants to be selected), Community Engagement Plan, Governance Model, Operations Model, Financing Plan. NBS anticipates a need for the following services (with corresponding deliverables and budgets), Which parties may be able to offer in part or in whole. prospective firms are invited to bid on one or more services listed below. As a Non-profit Arts and Culture organization, NBS funding is based on Government funding and fundraising through donors and philanthropists, making it essential that we are as cost-effective as possible.
