The City seeks the submission of proposals to provide Geotechnical, Material Testing and Construction Inspection Services for the Citywide pavement Rehabilitation Program FY 2023/24 (Project No. 801 0101), Pavement Rehabilitation for Various Local Streets CDBG FY 23-24 (Project No. 801 0110) and Sunnymead MDP Line B-16A (Project No. 804 0015) for the Capital Projects Division. The consultant shall provide One (1) Street (Deputy) Inspector who, under the general direction of the City Senior Inspector, shall perform general inspection services as staff extension for the project during construction. The selected Consultant will be required to have personnel available for assignment to this project who have successfully provided professional services as it relates to all activities of public works construction. The selected Consultant shall provide geotechnical, material testing and construction inspection services with personnel trained and experienced in geotechnical work for the construction of public works improvements and particularly the types of construction required for this project. The minimum field personnel experience required includes ten (10) years of construction geotechnical work of increasingly complex public works projects. The selected Consultant firm must also must have an in-house test lab and provide all equipment and supplies necessary to perform the geotechnical services for the construction of the improvements and support services necessary to complete the scope of work. It is expected that the selected Consultant to fulfill this contract will be able to provide qualified geotechnical personnel on an on-demand basis with 24-hour notice for construction material testing and geotechnical work for the duration of the construction project, and as needed for earthwork quantity determination services, preconstruction activities, and as necessary to close out the project. The scope of work for this RFP includes all reasonable and customary geotechnical observations, material submittal reviews/approval, and testing items of work necessary and prudent per the construction scope of work identified in the project plans and specifications. The construction project Bid Schedule and the Project Specific Scope of Work may be located by referencing the Contract Documents. The general Scope of Services outlined herein is only provided as a guide in this Request for Proposal. Itemized tasks and corresponding costs must be identical to the detailed Scope of Services included as part of the Proposer Technical Proposal. City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any non-material irregularities or informalities in any proposal, and to accept or reject any item or combination of items.
