This is an advance notice of a potential procurement opportunity for interested Contractors. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period and will have an early completion date. The work is expected to take place in May 2024. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work. The roadway on Highway No. 5 (Control Section 5-04 km 21.10, approximately 3.20 km east of its junction with Highway No. 38) has partially washed out due to the spring runoff. The culvert will need to be completely replaced and have complete riprap aprons installed. In addition, the road embankment and surface will need to be repaired. Question Deadline 05/03/2024 Bidders shall submit all inquiries pertaining to the Bid Package documents a minimum of 3 business days prior to close of bidding directed to: Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement RFXquestions@gov.sk.ca Estimated quantities of materials (subject to change): The quantities required at the time of the posting of the advanced notice are unknown. It is anticipated that the existing structure will be replaced with a similar or larger sized culvert. The existing culvert is approximately 2400 mm x 28m long. Approximate Embankment Height = 4m Contractor may be responsible to supply borrow material, granular backfill, geotextiles, crushed aggregate, riprap, granular base course, asphalt concrete, and erosion control materials to replace the culverts. It is anticipated that culverts, couplers, and end stiffeners (if required) will be supplied by the Ministry. Completion Date: TBA Deposit with each Tender - 5% of total bid.
