Engineers Estimate: $488,725.95 This Project is deemed a Horizontal Construction Project. 5/8/2024 11:00:00 AM (PT) Questions Due Date and Time No Pre-Bid Meeting The District 1 Lompa Lane Pavement Preservation Project is a federally funded (ARPA) project that includes Lompa Lane, Northridge Drive, Poole Way, Dori Way, Bunch Way, Sneddon Way, and Roberta Way. Activities will include the application of slurry seal, pavement patching, large crack repairs, re-striping and striping alterations, and traffic sign installation on portions of the project area. G. Bid Security 1. Each Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond acceptable to Carson City in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bidder's "Base Bid" Proposal. Said Bid Security shall be payable without condition to Carson City as a guarantee that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute such Contract in accordance with the Bid Proposal and, in the manner and form required by the Bid Document, and will furnish the required PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT bonds. (Refer to Documents # 2151 and 2152). Should the Bidder refuse to enter into such Contract or fail to furnish such bonds, the amount of the Bid Security may be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages, not as penalty. All checks must indicate the Payee as "Carson City, Nevada" and reflect the Bid Title and Number. Failure to enclose a Bid guarantee with the sealed Bid will cause the Bid to be rejected and not considered. 2. Surety companies issuing bonds must be licensed to issue surety by the State of Nevada Insurance Division pursuant to NRS 683A.090 and issued by an appointed agent pursuant to NRS 683A.280. Bonds issued by an individual surety are not acceptable to the City. 3. The City will have the right to hold the Bid Security of Bidders to whom an award is being considered until either: (a) the Contract has been executed and bonds have been furnished, (b) the specified time has elapsed so that Bids may be withdrawn, or (c) all Bids have been rejected Carson City is accepting sealed bids for all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the District 1 Lompa and ARPA Pavement Preservation Project. This project includes but is not limited to wide crack repair, Type 3 Modified rapid setting slurry seal, pavement reconstruction, and restriping of Lompa Lane, Poole Way, Dori Way, Bunch Way, Sneddon Way, and Northridge Drive. The Contractor shall grind or blast off all existing striping prior to applying slurry. All striping will be replaced to match existing striping unless otherwise shown on the plans. Construction of this project shall be completed by July 31, 2024.
