Pre-bid Estimate: $500,000 // Licenses Required: CSLB C-23 or C-43 Licenses Plant Construction seeks responses to a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Trade Subcontractors interested in bidding the Metal Panels scope on the contract for the University of California, Berkeley Academic Seismic Replacement Building located in Berkeley, California. Plant Construction seeks trade contractors with significant experience in coordination and execution of new, mass timber construction projects that are substantial in size and involve challenging logistical conditions and aggressive schedules. The scope of work will be to participate in provision of submittals and shop drawings, and coordination and execution of the complete scope listed below at the new Academic Seismic Replacement Building. Contractors must hold valid contractors' licenses registered with DIR and must provide ability to obtain corporate surety (payment & performance) bonds and insurance in order to be eligible for the RFP evaluation. The UCIP provides workers compensation, general liability and excess umbrella liability insurance coverage to all enrolled Contractors and Subcontractors of any tier for work
performed at the project site. The project specific UCIP manual can be found within the Bid Manual listed in the Building Connected files tab. Trade Contractors will be invited directly via Building Connected and shall submit their pricing by 2:00 PM on May 3rd, 2024, in the Building Connected Bid Form tool. Please make sure to read the bid form carefully and provide all requested information. Plant reserves the right to reject any or all responses to the RFP and to waive immaterial errors in any response received.
