B.Project Identification: 2024 ASPHALT IMPROVEMENTS AT EAST AND ELMWOOD SCHOOLS 1.Project Locations: a.East Elementary School, 2913 Elim Avenue, Zion, Illinois 60099. b.Elmwood Elementary School, 3025 Ezra Avenue, Zion, Illinois 60099. Project Description: 1.Contract 01: Project Consists of: Asphalt Improvements and associated work at East Elementary School. 2.Contract 02: Project Consists of: Asphalt Improvements and associated work at Elmwood Elementary School. 3.Optional combined contract for the Work at both schools. Owner will receive lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Any bid submitted unsealed, or unsigned, without bid bond or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and hour will be disqualified and returned to the bidder. D.Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. BID SECURITY A.Bid Security is required in the form of a Bid Bond, AIA Document A310-2010 in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid and all Additive Alternates. It is the Owner's intent to issue a Notice of Award to the successful Bidder within thirty (30) calendar days of the Bid Date. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the opening of bids. C.Addenda will be made available, in digital format, to plan holders of record. D.Bidding Documents can be viewed at the Architect's office. 1.6TIME OF COMPLETION A.Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice of Award and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. 1.7BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A.Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work.
