Reference Number 0000349655 The Village of Milford, Michigan is accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified professional firms to construct and install security fencing with two automatic gates at the civic center and vinyl coated chain link fencing adjacent to the Milford Skatepark. This work must be performed as specified accordance with the specifications contained in the Request For Proposals (RFP). Job Location 1100 Atlantic St, Milford MI 48381 Completion Date: June 30, 2024 SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall perform the following services in accordance with the requirements as defined and noted herein: 1. FENCE PROJECT A: Milford Civic Center a. Furnish and install 640 LF of 6' tall galvanized 9 ga chain link fence (line posts driven). b. Furnish and install one 6" x 20' and one 6' x 22' cantilever gate (gate posts embedded in concrete). i. A 6' x 22' cantilever gate currently owned by the Village may be repurposed. c. Furnish and install two Liftmaster commercial high-traffic slide gate operators, one yelp siren, two safety gate edge assembly, one single and dual height gooseneck pedestals, three vehicle detection loops, and three protection posts. d. See Addendum 1 for map of required fencing. 2. FENCE PROJECT B: Milford Skatepark a. Furnish and install 100 LF of 10' green, vinyl-coated chain link fence at the Milford Skatepark. The fencing will ultimately have sound barrier material installed via a separate contract. The materials has a weight of approximately 1.5 pound per square foot. b. Ensure fence stability to withstand wind loads associated with the flat and open surrounding area.
