Renovation of a fire / police facility in Edison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Municipal building in Edison, consisting of three (3) floors, currently has an aging alarm system. The Municipality of Edison intends to upgrade these systems with new installations throughout the building. The project involves the demolition of the existing Fire Alarm system and installation of the new Fire Alarm system on each floor. The scope of the project includes the replacement of the smoke detectors, heat detectors, Fire Alarm pull stations, speaker strobes, Fire alarm control panels, cables and conduits. Additionally, there is a second independent panel involved in the job for supervising the FM200 gaseous fire suppression system and is communicated with the Main fire alarm panel. The FM200 fire panel and devices needs to be removed and replaced, while retaining the FM200 tank, piping and nozzles. Project is to be completed in one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after contract award and receipt of the notice to proceed. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
