Any contractor may bid on more than one contract. A "Contractor's Response Form", the "Prevailing Wage Rate Compliance Form" and the "Itemized Bid Sheet" must be submitted for each bid. o Concrete Contract o Excavation Contract The successful contractors will be involved in the installation of a 10' deep x 106' diameter concrete manure storage tank and related Best Management Practices (BMPs). Other BMPs include but are not limited to: concrete heavy use areas, underground outlet pipes, access lanes and stream crossings. The proposed BMPs are to be constructed in the areas shown on the plans. The manure storage contractor may be asked to sign a statement certifying that the installed components meet or exceed the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) standards and specifications. The proposed facility is to be installed on property operated by Ed and Andrew Martin, in this document referred to as "The Landowner". The intended purpose of the project is to provide sufficient manure storage capacity to allow The Landowner to spread manure during appropriate times of the year when weather is favorable, when field conditions are good, and when crops can best utilize the nutrients in the manure. Bids are requested for the items described in the Description of Work, in accordance with the terms and conditions included in this bid. Contractors must complete the "Contractors Response Form", the "Prevailing Wage Rate Compliance Form" and the "Itemized Bid Sheet" and submit with the bid. The Contractors Response Form must be signed by an authorized representative of the Contractor. Bids must be mailed or hand delivered to the address of the WCCD. Envelope must be labeled with bid name and date and time of opening Pennsylvania State prevailing wage rates will apply to the entirety of this project. This project is funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission is subject to prevailing wage regulations. The project is registered with the Department of Labor and Industry. The successful contractor of each bid will submit monthly wage reports that document the payment of prevailing wages to qualified project personnel. Included with the bid package, the bidder will provide the Landowner with a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid price. H. As a guarantee of faithful performance of this Contract, a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 110% of the total contract price shall be furnished by the winning contractors. A certified or cashier's check may be accepted in lieu of a bond. The performance bond will be made payable to the Landowner and will be due 15 days after the contract award. SCOPE The work shall consist of furnishing materials and installing all components of the waste storage structure as outlined in this specification and the drawings. Construction work covered by this specification shall not be performed between December 1 and the following March 15 unless the site conditions and/or the construction methods to be used have been reviewed and approved by the Engineer or his/her designated Representative.
