Demolition and site work for a civil project in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
To request these materials, email qbd@sfwater.org with this, the firm name, full address, email address, phone number, copy of contractor's license or business card, and a copy of a government-issued identification. The objective of the project is to replace the existing Seacliff 1 Pump Station (S1S), currently located on a SFPUC-owned parcel within Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) property, with a new underground pump station located within the public ROW on Seacliff Avenue in San Francisco, California. Gravity sewer and force main replacement work is located within the Public ROW on Seacliff Avenue and El Camino Del Mar, and in the private driveway fronting 494 and 496 Seacliff Avenue. New mechanical and electrical cabinets along with new security fencing will replace existing cabinets located within GGNRA property. The work is to be performed in San Francisco, California. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B and Section 2.01 of The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 10.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. The LBE subcontractor participation requirement for this Contract is 10.00%. The LBE subcontractor participation requirement is below 20% due to the large amount of specialty work that involves pre-packaged underground pump station that only Contractors with specific qualifying experiences can perform. This project includes a high percentage of equipment procurement (e.g., mechanical valves, electrical and instrumentation equipment) that requires proportionately less labor to install compared to typical sewer projects. The main purpose of this project is to replace the existing Seacliff 1 Pump Station with a new underground pump station located within the public ROW on Seacliff Ave in SF to meet SFPUC Level of Services Goal. The installation of the specialty item also requires heavy coordination with shutdowns of the system and constrained to limited work hours which makes it harder to sub out the work. SFPUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). Prime and Joint Venture level LBE participation cannot be counted towards meeting any of the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). LBE subcontractors must be certified with in the scope of work they are being listed to perform. All Bidders shall submit documented Good Faith efforts with their Bids as directed on, except those who exceed the above-stated subcontracting requirement(s) by at least 35%. Refer to Failure to comply with Chapter 14B requirements may result in a Bid being deemed non-responsive and ineligible for Contract award. Please contact Jovineth Cuntapay-Vitin at (415) 554-3136 or jovineth.cuntapay-vitin@sfgov.org for further information about the LBE requirements. Subcontracting opportunities may include, but not limited, to the following major types of work: saw cutting, excavation, paving, traffic control, and concrete work. A Class "A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing. Estimated cost$7,000,000
